Frostbitten February

babywinterThis February was the 12th-coldest in Memphis history and December to February was the 14th-coldest in the city’s history, according to the National Weather Service.

For the period of December to February, Memphis averaged 38.5 degrees; the coldest on record was 35.4 in 1917-18.

This is all the more reason for the Spring season to hurry up and make it’s presence known! Sure the snow was pretty, and snuggling up to a warm fire with some hot cocoa is fun, but enough is enough! I need WARM sunshine, clear blue skies, the fresh scent of the newest spring buds, and being able to grill again! (Which is a personal favorite of mine. :) )

Spring officially starts on March 20th. I’m counting down the days! :)

What about you? Do you love or hate cold weather? Or do you fall somewhere in between?

I cannot agree with you more! Enough is totally enough!!
I am soooo ready to shed of all those layers …switch off the heat and open the windows for that beautiful smell of spring!! Ahhhh I can’t wait till March 20th! :o )

As you might have guessed..I simply hate winters..Hate the chill.
My native place in India, the maximum cold we see is what we have here in November & March! So you can imagine how all this snow & freeze makes me feel.. LOL

Did you notice the birds chirping so much more since few days?..Hadn’t heard them throughout the winters..

I have noticed the birds chirping! I think they’re just as ready for Spring as we are! I just hope the weather doesn’t trick us and we get a massive cold front in the next few weeks. I SO plan on taking my dogs to the park this weekend, just because it’s finally warm enough. :)

The only good thing about the winter is that I can wear all different kinds of boots. But I’m even over that now! C’mon Spring!

    And I love that picture!

    Thanks for commenting shally!
